Ed and Carol Hembree were raised in a rural environment in Indiana where they were saved in their early twenties. Shortly after salvation, Ed knew the Lord was calling him to preach. Obedience to this calling meant training which was obtained at Tennessee Temple University and Grace Theological Seminary. After seminary, the Hembrees pastored for 8 years in Kentucky and then for 2 years in Mesquite, Texas, where, during a missions conference in 1991, they felt the call of the Lord to go to Romania. Leaving the church in the summer of 1991 for deputation, they arrived in Romania in the spring of 1993.
