Both Matthew and Susan grew up in ministry homes. Matthew’s parents were missionaries in Spain for 25 years, where Matthew was born and grew up. Susan’s parents were in the local church ministry in North Carolina until she was 12, when they started deputation to become missionaries to Chile. She went to the mission field as a 16-year-old, where she was able to learn Spanish. Both returned to the U.S. to prepare at Bob Jones University, where they met.
     Matthew received both undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Bible at BJU. It has been a wonderful blessing for them not to have to go through language school, but to simply be able to jump right into the ministry full-time. Matthew and Susan are now in their sixth school year at UCLA. Matthew acts as Secretary General at the University and oversees the various avenues of ministry.  At the church, Matthew teaches an adult Sunday School class and preaches twice a month.
