Ron was saved at the age of eleven and called to be a missionary when he was twelve at a summer camp near Richwood, West Virginia. That was over 50 years ago, and the Lord has remained faithful to him. After graduation from Tennessee Temple College with a BA in Bible and Sacred Music, Ron married his wife Odessa on August 16, 1963. They had the joy of serving as missionaries in Japan for nearly 33 years. Ron also served as president of the Kansai Independent Baptist Bible College for most of those years. Before the Lord chose to call Odessa home in 1998, both Ron and Odessa knew that what He had called them to do together, they had finished together.
     The Lord has led Ron to an expanded ministry to other parts of the world, including Japan. Ron travels the world on a regular basis assisting our missionaries and keeping our local body apprised on what is happening on the foreign field. His deep burden for the ministry of missionaries and their families is evident as he shares updates and prayer requests during his time at home.
