Psalm 26:11—“But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity.”
It has been said that "if you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters." Unfortunately, the truth of this little maxim is rarely considered among believers. It is a regrettable reality that many men cannot affirm with David in Psalm 26:1, “I have walked in mine integrity.” However, David was not a man of inherent integrity, for his sins of adultery and murder are well rehearsed. Yet, the epitaph on David’s biblical tomb reads: “Here lies David, a ‘man after God’s own heart.’” While integrity was not natural for the sinner David, it was a characteristic he chose to faithfully pursue. In Psalm 26:11, David makes a stirring resolution: “But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity.” Oh, that Christian dads and husbands would echo and live such a commitment! We can.
Tri-City’s annual Men of Integrity Conferences have been developed to help men in their commitment to “walk in integrity.” Each conference will discuss integrity in one of the three most significant areas of a man’s life: his moral life, his home, and his workplace. The goal of the Men of Integrity Conferences is to produce men of character and strength, who know the promise of Proverbs 20:7—“The just man walketh in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.”
